2020 #NASCIRUNS Virtual 5k Fun Run/Walk
Running Together Separately for CV Imaging!
What – COVID-19 won’t “slow down” NASCI athletes! Register today to participate in the first ever virtual #NASCIRUNS 5k Fun Run/Walk during the 2020 NASCI Virtual Annual Meeting. In fact, this year, any distance and any form of exercise (run, walk, bike, swim, yoga, weight-training, etc.) counts. Just get moving for NASCI!

Place – Your favorite local 5k or 10k course or workout site (following all local social distancing and mask requirements!). Even your own neighborhood “walk around the block” works!
Time – Any date/time combination of your choosing between the hours of 6:00 AM CST Saturday, September 12, and 6:00 AM CST Saturday, September 19.
Cost – $30. All net proceeds will be donated towards NASCI Research Grants for purposes of funding Seed Grants and Rising Star awards
Registration – Registration has closed
Gear – Participants who register by August 25th will receive a #NASCIRUNS T-shirt by mail. Please proudly wear your T-shirt and take photos of yourself in it!!
Get Social – Our goal is to make this a fun experience that helps connect our community even while we are socially distanced. Participants are asked to post pictures, route maps, views of your run, etc. on Twitter (@NASCIsociety, #NASCIRUNS) to share with the rest of our NASCI community.

INSTRUCTOR: Eddie Stern, world-famous Ashtanga Yoga teacher, author, and lecturer from New York City. He has a passion for engaging in a multidisciplinary approach to furthering understanding, education, and access to yoga through technology, scientific research, collaboration, and encouraging diversity in all aspects of his work. He studies philosophy, Sanskrit, ritual, science, and religion, and has a great love for music and art, which play a big role in his teaching of yoga. Eddie learned yoga under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois from 1991 until 2009, and remains a student of R. Sharath Jois, of Mysore, India. He authored One Simple Thing: A New Look at the Science of Yoga and How It Can Transform Your Life, a bestselling book that examines from both a Western scientific perspective and an Eastern philosophical perspective the underlying mechanisms that make yoga an amazingly effective practice for health, wellbeing, and spiritual development.
